MDF - Medium Density Fiberboard - is made from wood fibers and is a great low cost alternative to wood. Its hard surface resists dents and scratches and its low cost will save you money on your painted applications. Also available in paint grade poplar (MDF) and stain grade poplar (wood laminate & MDF) at low prices. If you would prefer your mantel in Maple, Red Oak or Cherry for staining, please call to place order. You may choose to receive your fireplace mantel unfinished or with a professionally applied paint or stain of your choice. This mantel is easy-to-install with just a few tools and limited skill required.
